Eligibility

Girls must meet the required standard in the shared Dorset Consortium selection tests; applications must also be made through the local authority by 31 October 2026.

Score policy

Applicants take Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English tests. Scores are age-standardised; meeting the required standard establishes eligibility, and higher scores rank applicants within oversubscription categories.

Oversubscription

After eligible girls with an EHCP naming Parkstone Grammar School who have met the required standard are admitted, other eligible applicants are prioritised in this order: looked-after or previously looked-after children; Pupil Premium applicants inside the historic Borough of Poole or specified Poole postcodes; other eligible applicants in that area; Pupil Premium applicants outside it; then other eligible applicants outside it. Higher entrance-test scores take priority within each category. For the final place, the shortest safe and practicable walking distance decides; equal distances are resolved by random allocation.
