Eligibility

Girls must meet the required standard in the shared Dorset Consortium selection tests in mathematics, English and verbal reasoning; applications are made through the relevant local authority.

Score policy

The three entrance-test scores are age-standardised and totalled. Eligibility is meeting the required standard; oversubscription ranking uses total test scores within the stated categories.

Eligible children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first. The ranked categories then cover looked-after children, eligible Pupil Premium applicants under the policy definition, 100 highest-scoring applicants, remaining non-Pupil-Premium applicants in catchment, then remaining non-Pupil-Premium applicants outside catchment. Test scores rank applicants within the stated categories. Ties use local-authority straight-line distance, then independently supervised random allocation. Catchment membership alone does not guarantee a place.
