What to do after the 2027-entry Sutton SET
- The consortium said it would email the Selective Eligibility Test (SET) outcome in the week after the 15 September 2026 test. Children who met a school's standard were invited to its second-stage test. Girls sat on 26 September 2026 and boys on 3 October 2026. It said it would email second-stage outcomes by the end of October 2026, before the application deadline.
- The Sutton FAQ gives 31 October 2026 as the closing date for your home council's Common Application Form. Name the schools whose standard your child met. The FAQ says not to name a school your child did not qualify for, unless you want to keep the option to appeal. Success in the tests does not mean a place will be offered.
- No offer is made before 1 March 2027. Greenshaw uses the SET outcome for its 60 ability places and has no second stage. The girls' schools, Nonsuch and Wallington High, share one test and one set of criteria. The boys' schools share one test, but each sets its own criteria and score ratio.

1. Selective Eligibility Test
One SET registration covers all six participating schools. All candidates sit the shared Stage 1 SET in English and Mathematics. Candidates who pass are invited to a shared Stage 2: girls for Nonsuch and Wallington High School for Girls sit on 26 September 2026, and boys for Sutton Grammar, Wallington County Grammar and Wilson’s sit on 3 October 2026. Greenshaw has no Stage 2 and uses the SET outcome for its ability places.

Scoring and eligibility
