What happens when the child gets stuck?
The useful question is whether a child can explain the method afterwards. During a trial, ask them to attempt an unfamiliar topic, open the available help, and then explain a similar example in their own words. A large question bank matters less if the explanation does not make sense to this child.

Compare the mock-test plan you would actually buy
Atom's tier distinction matters. Comparing its lower exam-preparation tier with a product that includes mocks can hide the cost of the preparation you intend to use. Decide whether you need routine practice, repeated timed rehearsal, printable papers, or all three.
For school preparation, check subjects, paper length, answer method and any writing stage against the school's current admissions material. A platform score or school benchmark is not an admission decision.
A workable week with either platform
Choose one topic after reviewing recent work. Have a short teaching session, use a separate day to revisit the idea, and leave a longer test for when the child is ready to rehearse time pressure. Two competing subscriptions are not automatically a better plan.
If your family changes platforms, carry a short list of topics and examples that still need help. Do not assume progress percentages or standardised scores transfer between providers. Keep a few completed attempts as the useful evidence.
